Minnesota Farmstead™
cheeses are made from raw milk produced on our farm in beautiful Carlton
County, and aged for a minimum of 60 days. Having received
numerous awards for the high quality of our milk, our commitment to
quality carries over to the cheese-making process. Our
handcrafted, artisan cheeses are made with whole raw milk, natural
animal rennet and celtic sea salt; they contain no coloring,
preservatives, or GMO rennet.
After having their calves in April, we milk the
cows spring, summer, and
fall, using intensive rotational grazing, which means our cows are moved
to fresh green pastures daily.
This provides optimum health for
our cows, enhances the natural resources of our land, and most
importantly, supplies highly nutritious, flavorful milk for the making
of our cheeses. There are no hormones, antibiotics, or rBGH used in our
herd, and we do not spread fertilizers or chemicals of any kind on our
pastures.
You will also find our 100% beef Summer Sausage
is available on the shopping cart. This sausage has an excellent flavor
and is made with our completely grass raised and finished beef, and made
without using nitrites or MSG.
We are at the
Duluth Farm Market~ 3rd St & 14th Ave East~ Wednesdays and Saturdays
from 7am-12pm. See you there!!
